Benefits

• Clearly separates business standards and
  standards necessarily bound to an implementation
• Enables legitimate implementation diversity
  within a single national set of business driven
  standards approved by the ISB
• Fast tracks the delivery of standards by applying
  full time expert resources to the development of
  business or implementation-independent components
  of standards
• Allows SIF specification to obtain ISB approval,
  in recognition that the SIF schema matches the
  enterprise architecture and is therefore a system
  wide standard
• SIF can focus on developing technical schemas for
  SIF transports specification
• Enables the SIF Association to focus on the
  urgent task of mobilising SIF delivery and
  maturing the SIF specification
