    sub-regional and regional.

  • Getting regional voluntary organisations
    together.

Role of YouthNet
  • Enable/manage others to support their members
  • Create the data base in order to signpost what
    support is out there, a conduit/yellow pages
    directory, barometer, skills audit etc
  • Play a linking-connecting role for the sector
  • Increase COMMUNICATION

    outside the youth sector

    underpin representation.

Suggested Principles
  • Dialogue is a two-way process
  • Built on the voice from young people, community
    Building from inside out
  • Fair access to all members to information
  • Efficient, effective, coherent and clear
  • Develop capacity of the sector.

The Mechanics of how this would happen.
  • The development of Hubs will assist this
    development.
  • Creative use of IT, e.g. E-pipe, discussion
    forums, twitter, blogs, texting, online polls
    etc.
  • Audit of existing groups from other data bases,
    i.e. ELBs.

  • Less meetings.
  • Consolidate interest groups in YouthNet and let
    them know when things are happening.
  • One voice.
  • Advocacy Responding quickly to the media,
    politicians regarding the voluntary sector.
  • Defending the sector.
