    to improvements in patient care
  • No effective Scotland wide strategy for patient
involvement in cancer services, involving both
    the NHS the Voluntary Sector.
  • Sadly still some tokenistic patient

    of the patient representative
  • Ensure the patient representative has a mentor
    within the committee.

Achieving Effective Patient Representation

lung cancer as a whole, or do they only have
    their experience?
  • Training do they have the knowledge and skills
    to contribute RCLCF/CancerVOICES training.
  • Support who do they go to for help and advice?
  • Monitoring does anyone monitor and evaluate the
    effectiveness of the patient involvement?

12

    cancer patient involvement throughout Scotland.
  • THIS MUST BE GRASPED WITH BOTH HANDS
