Assessment and Evaluation of FE III
  • 60 hours in school or 10 days (copy of Attendance
    Report included in report)
  • Evaluation Summary from mentor teacher
  • Written Report (Four Tasks Reflective Summary)
  • Attendance at required 3 meetings

Field Experience Extensions
  • If will not complete your field experience in
    January 2005 and will not hand in your paper on
    the due date, you must complete an Incomplete
    Status Form which is to be signed by you and your
    professor
  • specifying when the work will be completed.
  • Field Experience papers are due 6 weeks after the
    completion of the field experience
  • Field Experience papers cannot be combined, such
    as FE III IVeach is submitted separately

Grading Rubrics
  • Written Final Report Grading Rubric
  • covers the content and mechanics of the final
    paper.
  • Grading Rubric for FE III covers the 60 hours
    attendance report, the written final report, the
    evaluation summary and attendance at the
    workshops.

Meetings for FE III
  • Madison Thursdays in Rec Center 2nd floor large
    classroom on 12/2, 2/3 , 3/24 _at_ 1 PM.
  • Teaneck Wednesdays in Executive Conference Room
    at SOE on 12/1, 2/2,3/23 _at_3 PM.

Focus of Meetings
  • Meeting 1-Distribute syllabus and advise
    students about data collection with reference to
    the four tasks
  • Meeting 2-Share information with peers about FE
    III and review questions about the paper, etc.
  • Meeting 3-Hand in completed paper or finalize
    Incomplete Status Contract and evaluate the whole
    FE III process.

Things to Remember
  • Make a copy of the Attendance Report and the
    Evaluation Summary prepared by your mentor
    teacher to include as an addendum to your paper.
  • Do not place individual pages of your report in
    plastic sleeves.
  • Put your paper in a simple binder and staple or
    bind the pages together.
  • Keep a copy of your written report on disk.
  • Your paper must be labeled with the correct
    professors name, the course number and section
    to avoid confusion.
  • Papers are to be presented at the third meeting
    or given to the grading professor or secretary in
    the QUEST Office.
