Design considerations for the Star schema

• Put together a set of questions your star design
  is going to address
• Create an appropriate Time dimension
• Chose a Grain Inventory Item
• Handle Slowly Changing dimensions Create new
  primary keys for the dimensions tables, called
  BookKey, AuthorKey, etc.
• Handle Frequently Changing dimensionsnumber of
  books on hand should be recorded as part of the
  Fact table
• Identify Fully Additive measures and include them
  into the fact table What about on-hand quantity?
• Identify which concatenation of foreign keys from
  dimensions should make up the primary key of the
  fact table
