What you need to be able to do

• Introduce yourself. How?

• Explain the purpose of your interview and the
  subject areas you would like to cover.

• Is this a good place for the interviewee and for
  sound recording?
• Who is your audience?

• Make sure that your equipment is working and that
  you have your list of questions with you.
• Note down your interviewees key emotional
  responses - things that might not appear on tape.

• Be patience with your interviewee, give him time
  to respond,
• don't bombard this person with questions, but
  make sure you
• don't leave too many gaps.

  flexible enough to add new questions should the
• need arose and if your interviewee brings up an
  interesting area that you hadn't predicted.
