• Conflict could promote change in procedures,
  rules, relationships, or schedules.

• Withdraw when confronted.
• Physical avoidance.
• Psychological avoidance.

• Give ground as a way of maintaining harmony.
• Could be considered appeasement or
  self-sacrificing.
• Good to use when youre wrong!

• Generates ill will and hard feelings

• Middle of the road approach both people gain
  and sacrifice to resolve the conflict.
• Give a little and get a little to settle a
  conflict.

• Working together to find a resolution that will

• Assumes conflict is a natural part of life and
  can lead to helpful results.
• Both people get what they want
