What is the Foundation?
  • The Jack Petchey Foundation, gives grants to
    programmes and projects that benefit young people
    aged 11 - 25.
  • Grants are given through different programmes
    including Achievement Award Scheme, Leader Award
    Scheme, Projects Grants and Sponsorship

Achievement Awards
  • Designed to recognise outstanding individual
    achievement amongst young people
  • Enable the Wing, and Squadrons, to recognise the
    effort, endeavour and achievement of cadets in a
    practical and positive way

Achievement Awards
  • Wing has secured 96 Awards p.a.
  • 78 Awards will be distributed directly to
    Squadrons. (26 Units x 3 78 Awards).
  • Remaining 18 Awards will be allocated to
    recognise achievement on Wing sponsored
    activities. e.g. Camps

  • Each successful cadet will receive

Choosing an Award Winner
  • All those involved with your Unit, staff, cadets,
    committee and parents may nominate a cadet
  • Nominations placed in a Nomination Box supplied
    by JPF
  • Small committee formed to assess nominations and
    decide on the Award Winner ensures fairness

Adult Leader Awards
  • Adult Leader Awards may be given to adult members
    of the Wing (including Committee Members) who
    have demonstrated, in an outstanding way, an
    ability to encourage and motivate our cadets.

Adult Leader Awards
  • Wing has secured 8 Awards p.a.
  • Wing Staff and Squadrons nominate an adults in
    the same manner as Achievement awards
  • Nominations submitted to Wing MCO by 1st
    September each calendar year
  • A small Wing Staff committee will assess
    nominations and decide on the Award Winners
    ensures fairness

Adult Leader Awards
  • Each successful Adult will
  • Be invited to an Annual Presentation ceremony at
    the Wing Autumn Ball
  • Receive a cheque for 1000 to be spent on their
    Squadron

Applications for Grants
  • After running the Achievement Award Scheme for 6
    months, we are eligible to apply for Project
    Grants
  • Value is normally between 500 and 50,000
  • Units are not permitted to approach JPF
    independently
  • More information will be disseminated at the
    appropriate time
