WPCCP - BACKGROUND
  • Initial discussions with industry and the Nova
    Scotia Community College (NSCC) about a year ago
  • Difficulty recruiting and retaining employees who
    are skilled in work and production control
  • Requisite education and training not available in
    NS hiring coming primarily from Ontario
  • Short and long term education requirements
    identified

  • Multiple entry, multiple exit options
  • Flexible delivery options through combination of

  • NSCC Industrial Technologist Program 2010
  • Short term series of courses prepared and
    delivered on contract basis
  • Pilot module on Project Management to commence
    January 2007
  • Courses completed prior to 2010 may be applied to
    the Industrial Technologist Diploma
