Lessons Learned (to date)

• Identified need for HR staff to be involved from
  the beginning of emergency 2.5 years later
  still cleaning up HR issues that could have
  been avoided with HR planning
• Identified need for an Office in a Box
• NGO Collaboration from the onset (ie salary
  scales)
• Practical applications ie good enough HR
  manual, Emergency HR 101, bringing the 4
  pillars of ECB together
• Advocating for strong middle management
  promote staff training in management skills (in
  addition to tech. skills)
• Consistency in Staff (ie high staff turnover)
• All systems are linked (ie Finance and Logistics)
• Communication is key
