• Accomplishments
• Multi-Year project begun a year ago to adopt
  CCISC model
• Charter signed by Mayor Williams, Director of
  Health and Director of Mental Health

  well underway
• Pre-Trial Services, Homeless Providers and Court
  Social Services added to trainer group
• DMH has adopted welcoming policy
• Project Scope expanded over the course of the
  year

• Technical Assistance provided across the provider
  community
• DMH-APRA Sobering Station implementation
• Service regulations will be revised to establish
  consistency with CCISC model
• CODPAT Using CO-FIT as a system fidelity tool
  to monitor participation and movement toward
  outcomes

• CODECAT competency evaluation tool will be used
  after COMPASS completed
• Providers beginning to use COMPASS to
  self-assess, and beginning action plans, ACT
  requirements highlighted
• Begun new Housing First program model (Pathways
  to Housing) for persons who have been homeless
  with a co-occurring disorder and street or
  shelter bound for a long period of time

Challenges

• Gaining support at all decision making levels to
  make things happen quickly
• Staff in city agencies have long tenure,
  difficult to change approach and direction
• Provider network evolving in the District and
  CCISC implementation is just one of many
  challenges
