GE CTX 9000/9400
Product Description The CTX 9400 DSi system
represents the latest in CTX technology.
Designed to integrate with baggage handling
systems (BHS), the CTX 9400 DSi system is
TSA-certified and well-suited for fast-paced
airport environments. It is designed primarily
for BHS integration. Its meter-wide conveyor belt
and large tunnel opening welcome large and
standard-size bags.
Benefits Real-time detection Advanced user
interface BHS integration Meter-wide conveyor
belt Multiplexing capability Closed-circuit
air conditioning

GE CTX 9800
Product Description The CTX 9800 DSi represents
the future development of the CTX 9k platform.
The CTX 9800 takes the existing CTX 9k platform
and incorporates Full 3D imaging. The CTX 9800
will also be able to utilize Ethernet BHS
interfaces for more advanced BHS controls. The
9800 will utilize improved GUI functionality
allowing greater image resolution for TSOs as
compared to existing technology CTX 9000/9400
technology.
  • Benefits
  • Real-time detection
  • Advanced user interface
  • BHS integration
  • Meter-wide conveyor belt
  • Multiplexing capability (MUXv2)
  • Closed-circuit air conditioning
  • Full 3D Imaging

L3 6000/6600
  • Product Description
  • L-3 Communications eXaminer 6600 Explosive
    Detection System provides advanced explosive
detection capabilities at high throughput rates.
Measurements are taken and reconstructed to
produce volumetric data. Projection, axial, and
3-D images of the contents of the bag are
    provided for analysis.
  • Benefits
  • Generates 3-D Images of all Objects in Bag
  • Continuously moving belt
  • Allows Automatic Analysis of Entire Contents of
    Bag
  • Meter Wide Tunnel option available to provide bag
centering and reduction in bag jams
  • Can accommodate 30 units on a single network
  • Over 500 TSA-Certified Systems Deployed Nationwide

Analogic XLB
  • Product Description
  • The XLB (eXtra Large Bore) is being developed
under a Phoenix Category 3 development contract
from TSA. It is an entirely new High Speed
generation of more advanced, multiplexed EDSs for
checked baggage for aircraft. Screening Officers
see enhanced, 3-D, real-time images of the
complete bag and threat objects, and a
high-resolution 2-D projection image of all the
    contents in the bag.
  • Benefits
  • Extra large, 1-m x 0.6-m bore
  • Dual-energy system
  • Any-to-Any multiplexing
  • Brushless power transmission

6
Analogic King Cobra
Product Description KING COBRA is a new
technology created by modifying the COBRA design
and architecture to create a reduced-size EDS
system for checked baggage for small and
mid-sized airports. The system is fast and
efficient.
  • Benefits
  • Small footprint
  • Enhanced 3D bag image
  • Flexible multiplexing and networking capability
  • Utilizes many common parts with its Auto-EDS
    counterpart.

Reveal CT80/CT80DR
  • Product Description
  • Reveals CT80DR provides advanced explosive
detection . Its flexibility allows for extra
long baggage. It is also capable of in-line, and
stand alone configurations at any airport.
  • Benefits
  • Networking capability (multiplexing)
  • STIP compliance
  • Reduce baggage processing times
  • Improved data retrieval and management
  • Long baggage capability with XL upgrade.

Planning Guidelines and Design Standards (PGDS)
  • Planning Guidelines and Design Standards for
Airport Checked Baggage Inspection Systems were
published by TSA on October 10, 2007, which can
    be found at http//www.tsa.gov/research/asac/inde
    x.shtm
  • PGDS was comprised of TSA, Airport, and Airline
representatives, who met regularly for over a
year to address issues surrounding the financial,
    technical, and strategic challenges associated
with checked baggage screening in the nations
    airports.
  • Version 2.0 to be released in October of 2009
    based on submitted industry comments.
  • Comments can be submitted to ostbsisguidelines_at_ts
a.dhs.gov as your comments and those of other
industry partners will greatly assist us as we
    update the Guidelines.

Stand-Off Detection (SOD)
SOD units use advanced Millimeter Wave technology
to provide instant real-time explosive device
detection at ranges up to 20 or 7 meters.
Passive millimeter wave, remote metal  non-metal
detectors
  • Completely passive no radiation emitted
  • Non-imaging no personal privacy issues
  • Difference detector between aim point/reference
    point
  • Visual Detection System
  • Threat window indications of differences
  • Operator assesses potential threats using system
    indicators
