Status

• V8.2 National Plan now agreed intent, was
  initialled by all 13 September 2008.
• Includes the Guard review of 2007, and REC review
  of 2008 both of which were seen by Assn leaders
  and all PC
• Guard Planning Directive No 002 issued by
  President of the Guard, which coordinates
  transition to Stage 2 Preparations.

Summary of Planning

• V8.2 is a well developed, thorough plan that
  meets the needs to achieve the aim of the PPCLI
  anniversary and should be affordable.
• Plan is now fallow, that is the Plans Committee
  is not issuing new versions until late 2010
  Plans Committee is holding all amendments on
  master copy.
• We continue to refine the Financial Activity
  Costing Sheets as more OPIs grapple with the
  actual plans for events/projects.

Moving to Preparations Stage

• 100th Website has opened at www.ppcli100th.wordpre
  ss.com. It is a work in progress, and will be
  improved over time. Sponsors and e-contributions
  will be added.
• Website is based on Version 8.2, which has also
  been distributed widely
• OPIs now named for Editorial Board, Postal
  project, Money project, Private Returns planning,
  Antecedent project, Reunion of reunions, triad
  events, most Association work

Moving to Preparations

• Survey developed and being instituted at the 95th
• Survey contains summary of the planning and
  explores a host of issues
• Briefing boards support communication

Editorial Board

• Glenn Nordick is Chair
• Lou Grimshaw starting a Korean unit lists project
  that will be established, perhaps as a addendum
  to Vol 3
• Guard will review the approach to Vol 4/5 writing
  at next meeting, but Ed Board has recommendations
  and select list of nominees

Other Motion - Action

• Letters to VAC and Heritage sent recently asking
  for note of the anniversary in their plans and
  help as possible
• Letter under preparation through Chain of Command
  to Army Commander for his approval, and major
  elements will be added to army readiness matrix

Business Plan

• Draft edition 2 has been circulated after
  comments received on version 1. Council has
  endorsed the 100th Anniversary Business Plan
  subject to its continued development in support
  of agreed objectives.
• An important document for the Fundraising work,
  but only one of many
• Still need Charitable Fund resolution, CRA
  communications, Financial review, development of
  briefing packages

Conclusion

• Strategic issues still count two Fundraising and
  Staffing
• Staffing at RHQ still inadequate but new help at
  hand, and most of the work needed to support
  fundraising remains undone
• Fundraising will be next focus for Chair of the
  Plans Committee as fall 2009 is last chance for
  the start of a central fundraising effort that
  would support the Plans achievability
