ENVIRONMENTAL FOCUS
The environmental focus areas mentionned in the

  • Implementation of environmental aquis capacity

STATE OF PLAY
  • All 13 beneficiary states have completed both
    MoUs
  • Beneficiary states are preparing to take the
    step from preparatory to implementation stage
  • The first steps will be to launch their first
    open calls for proposals, and to set up special
    funds such as
  • Seed Money funds,
  • NGO funds and
  • funds for technical assistance

CALLS FOR PROPOSALS - STATUS
  • The Czech Republic on 18 May this year,
    announcing a total 10.7 million available for
    Individual Projects
  • Slovenia on 31 May, with a call worth a total
    14.1 million for Individual Projects with four
    deadlines spread out over the commitment period
  • Malta followed in August with a 3 million call
    for the entire commitment period
  • Poland on August 31 announcing a total 176
    million for applications across all priority
    sectors
  • Most other beneficiary states plan to follow suit
    with open calls during the autumn
  • the financial mechanisms are now in the
    operational phase
