Whats Happening at Taiwan for RO Missions

• Just completed a self-evaluation report
  that summarizes
• the major scientific research results and the
  societal
• impacts of the FORMOSAT-3/COSMIC Mission. The
  report
• is intended to be submitted to an international
  review
• committee.
• The current FORMOSAT-3 / COSMIC
  constellation is
• performing well, however, greater system
  degradation is
• expected starting 2011. Taiwan continues to
  pursue the international collaboration for the
  Follow-On Radio
• Occultation mission to minimize the potential
  data gap
• beyond 2011.
• NSPO continues to play the key role in
  Taiwan to
• coordinate research, application, mission
  requirements,
• funding application, system implementation, and
  policy
• maker for the follow-on RO mission.

You are all invited to OSSE Workshop August 25
26 in Taiwan

• OSSE ( Observation System Simulation
  Experiments)
• is an effective tool to support the
  constellation mission planning. Bill Kuo will
  show a case study result later in
• this workshop.
• NSPO will host an OSSE Workshop in Taiwan,
  tentatively
• scheduled on August 25 26. The formal
  announcement
• along with program details will be made soon
  after
• coordinating with co-host organizations.
• The conclusions and recommendations from the
  OSSE workshop will be used as applicable
  references for the Follow-On RO constellation
  mission planning similar to
• this GNSS workshop for GOX Payload Development
