    and Yuan Luo, PhD, a collaboration with the SOMs
    Center for Integrative Medicine to optimize
    herbal formulas in aging and neurodegenerative
    disorders, to examine the efficacy and mechanism
    of optimized formulas for chronic pain and
    inflammation, and to evaluate herbal-herbal and
    herbal-conventional drug interactions associated
    with the herbal formulations using human
    hepatocytes and aged rat.
