7Why Thiodicarb?
- Bayer CropScience has investigated the
insecticidal and nematicidal efficacy of soil and
seed applications of numerous active ingredients
including thiodicarb and abamectin. - The handling characteristics, physical properties
and spectrum of activity of thiodicarb proved to
be a much more attractive and promising product
as compared to some other molecules. - Thiodicarb is currently marketed globally as a
seed treatment for crops such as cotton, corn,
rice, soybean and vegetables for the control of
aphids, thrips, seed maggots, termites and
specific early season lepidopteran pests.
8Imidacloprid and Thiodicarb the right
combination.
- Bayer CropScience has tested imidacloprid
combinations with thiodicarb for the last several
years. - Bayer CropScience has also tested imidacloprid
combinations with abamectin for the last several
years and has full Freedom to operate with such
combinations as covered by US Patent 6,444,690 B2
September 3, 2002. - Bayer CropScience dropped abamectin seed
treatment concepts because combinations of
imidacloprid and thiodicarb are more convenient
for seed-treaters, and provide more effective and
broader spectrum of activity for growers.
