  chondromatosis
• Benign arthropathy
• Synovial tissue undergoes metaplastic
  transformation to produce foci of cartilage
• Primary or secondary
• Joints, bursa, tendon sheaths

• Clinical Manifestations
• MaleFemales ? 3,21
• Most common third to fifth decade
• May be precipitated by trauma
• Onset usually insidious
• Pain and swelling, effusion, tenderness, limited
  R.O.M.

• Knee, Hip, Elbow, Ankle, Shoulder, Wrist
• Radiographic Manifestations
• Depend on degree of calcification within the
  cartilaginous bodies
• Joint effusion ? many radiopaque joint bodies
• CT is best
