Brief Details

• Oriental Events is a Thailand based Destination
  Management Company (DMC) / Event Organizer who
  provide quality MICE services throughout the
  country.
• Oriental Events was established in January
  2002.
• Oriental Events offers a full in-house service
  to assist with all event needs. A One Stop Shop
  for all meetings, conference, and incentive
  travel services.
• Oriental Events office is located at By Pass
  Square opposite Tesco Lotus and 2 stores are
  located at Surin Beach and Sri Su Chart Grand
  View.

Problem

• Before the training
• 1. Adaptation for working MICE at first time.
• 2. Adaptation for working with old staff.
• From 2 problem I solve problem by open my mind
  to visit new person and experience.
• During Training
• Operation issues
• 1. Have the mistake for sending contact rate.
• Solve problem by ask old staff to teach me and
  do it again.
• 2. Many persons assigned work in the same time.
• Solve problem by think what work that I should
  do first.
• Managerial issues
• 1. Communication of staff that make bad effect
  to some project.
• 2. Receiving many jobs that not consider with
  number of staff.

Training

• General Manager PAddy divided the schedule
  into 4 parts Operation, Catering, Production
  Design, and MICE.
• Operation PTeaw taught me about how to contact
  with other companies and hot to solve problem in
  operation department.
• Catering PKob taught me about how to use tent
  and product for each theme.
• Production Design PJoy taught me about which
  decoration product that should use for each
  theme.
• MICE PNui taught me about how to manage each
  project to be better.

Strengths

• Oriental Leisure have many staff that have more
  knowledge and experience. There have catering
  department to support each work, and production
  design department to make theme and decoration
  for each work.

Weaknesses

• Oriental Leisure is a local event company that
  have a lot of work. So, period of work for each
  day is quite hard and overlong. Sometimes it has
  bad effected to staff about health.

Suggestions

• Practical Training Program
• I think, for student that pay for practical
  training should not pay because, 16,000 bath are
  very expensive for practical training. University
  not have service and not support me also such as
  insurance. I need to exchange with 16,000 bath
  that I paid.
• Period of practical training should have during
  high seasons for the best knowledge and
  experience of student.
• Curriculum
• University should support about budget when
  student have project about MICE for the real work
  and the best experience before they graduated.
