century B.C. The Etruscans came from these
peoples or are the result of invasion from the
north or the Near East.

Etruscan civilization is the modern English name
given to the culture and way of life of a people
of ancient Italy and Corsica, residing between
the Apennines and the River Tiber, whom the
ancient Romans called Etrusci or Tusci. Modern
day Tuscany comes from this name also. 800-100

civilization endured from an unknown prehistoric
time prior to the founding of Rome until its
complete assimilation to Italic Rome in the Roman
Republic which started in 509 B.C.
