  great teacher was Laozi
• Laozi may have been a legendary figure to the
  daoists
• Laozi said that the best leaders work quietly in
  the background not taking credit for what they do
• They wanted a small simple society and their aim
  was to find Dao or the way of the universe by
  being in harmony with nature and their inner
  feelings
