The need for iCMAs
  • Assessment methods and requirements probably
    have a greater influence on how and what students
    learn than any other single factor. This
    influence may well be of greater importance than
    the impact of teaching materials. David Boud

  • Assessment that promotes learning criteria
    include
  • Regular engagement - Prompt personalised feedback
    feedforward tasks relevant to LOs

  • TMA and support systems tend to deliver
  • Infrequent tasks
  • Limited contact at start of module
  • Feedback that is of high quality but too late to
    be acted upon.
  • Student appetite for frequent low-stakes
    assessment.
  • Add link to tutor support and we have great
    potential for assessment that drives learning.
