• Nobel Gasses dont have any valence electrons,
  making them stable and unreactive
• Transition elements fill the d sublevel and have
  a slightly higher energy levels than the s
  orbital of the next energy level (3d and 4s)
• Inner transition elements fill the f sublevel and
  are close to the energy in the s orbital two
  primary energy levels higher (4f and 6s)
