July 12, 2009 THE SANCTUARY
FLOWERS are given to the glory of God and in
memory of Bob and Dot Danielson on the occasion
of their anniversary, July 16. THOSE WHO
GRIEVE Sarah and David Glass and family in the
sudden death of her uncle, David Webster. Jann,
Jim, and Michelle Niccoli in the loss of Janns
mother, Jessamine Jacie Owen, in Jarratt on
July 4. ON THE ROAD AGAIN IN MISSION A bus will
leave Richmond on Tuesday, August 18, at 800 am
for the Eastern Shore to visit Casa Esperanza
Center, Agape Children's Center, and All God's
Children Camp at Occohannock on the Bay,
returning Wednesday, August 19, at 600 pm.  The
cost per person varies.  Information is available
on the "Upcoming Events" board in the narthex.

SALUTE TO REV. BEN HORROCKS Rev. Ben Horrocks
recently was made a Provisional Elder in the
Virginia Annual Conference. I want to salute him
as a colleague, and as one both highly skilled
and educationally qualified for Pastoral
Care. Persons who need to have problems
unraveled or defined will benefit from his superb
skills. How blessed we are to have this servant

OQuinn ALL GOD'S CHILDREN CAMP The camp for
children of incarcerated mothers will be held for
our area at Westview during the week of August
9-14. You can donate camping supplies, volunteer
as a mentor, or provide transportation to and
from camp. Information is available on the
"Upcoming Events" board and the donation box in
the narthex. To help financially, make out your
check to the church, designated "All God's
Children". USHERS NEEDED FOR 830 We are
looking for a few volunteers, men and women, to
be ushers at the 830 service. This opportunity
requires your participation one month per quarter
(there are always those willing to switch
Sundays). Please contact David Dudley, 748-9060,
or contact the church office.

LADIES NIGHT OUT All the women of Beulah are
invited to attend the annual Ice Cream Social
being held in the Fellowship Hall on July 28 at
700 pm. It is an evening of fun, fellowship, ice
cream along with homemade goodies. This year the
theme is Christmas in July so come join us for

COMING! Don Piper, author of 90 Minutes in
Heaven, is scheduled to speak at Cosby H.S. on
August 7. His visit is sponsored by Swift Creek

the church office. Once a month these tickets

ADULT BIBLE STUDY BEING OFFERED DURING VBS Enough
- Discovering Joy through Simplicity and
Generosity"As we find ourselves in the middle of
an economic crisis, Enough is an invitation to
rediscover the Bibles wisdom when it comes to
prudent financial practices. Participants will
examine the keys to experiencing contentment,
overcoming fear, and discovering joy through
simplicity and generosity. This bible study could
change your life, by changing your relationship
with money."  This study will be led by Louie
Love. It includes a nightly video segment and a
participants book. Please complete the
registration form below so that your book can be
ordered. Questions may be directed to Dianna
Hastings in the church office. Adult
participants may join us for dinner and opening
celebration each night. The study will begin
around 630 nightly. There will be a short break
in the middle of the class time with
refreshments provided. The class will end by 800
