4Launch Google Earth and Create a Folder
- Launch Google Earth
- Add gt Folder
- Name your folder
- e.g., Valley Forge Field Trip

- Enter a destination

- Add gt Placemark (or click on the pushpin icon)
- Name the placemark
- e.g., Julia de Burgos Bilingual Middle School
- Change the Style and Color
- Choose a different icon type (click on the
placemark icon to the right of Name) - While the placemark icon is blinking, you can
move it around on the screen

10Enter Text into Your Placemark
- Right Click on the placemark icon gt Select
Properties - In the Description box, type your text
- e.g., Welcome! Today we are taking a field trip
to Valley Forge National Park. - Click OK
- Now, when you click on the placemark icon your
text will appear

- Double check to make sure that your placemark is
within your folder
13Fly to Your Next Destination
- Fly To tab gt Type the address or name
- e.g., Valley Forge, PA
- Add gt Placemark
- e.g., Washingtons Headquarters

- Search for a video in unitedstreaming

- Select a video
- Go to Video Segments
- Right click on the Play Button (green icon) next
to your segment - Select Copy Shortcut

- Return to Google Earth and open the Properties
box of your placemark - Type some text in the Description box
- Right click gt Paste
- Remember In unitedstreaming you selected Copy
Shortcut which copied the url of your video
segment. Now, you are pasting that url into your
placemark. - Now, when you click on the placemark icon your
text will appear with the link to the video
segment

- Go to My Content and open the quiz
- It will open the Quiz Summary
- Copy the URL

- Find an image and click Preview
- Copy the URL of the image
