Congratulations to Rhonda Brashear KY Tech 2002

2002 Individual Merit Winner Rhonda Brashear and
DTE Deputy Commissioner Mary Stratton.
Mrs. Rhonda Brashear was named 2002 KY Tech
Individual Merit Award Winner at the 20th Annual
Awards of Excellence and Recognition Ceremony
held December 11, 2002 in Frankfort. She
currently serves as the KY WINS Coordinator at
the Leslie Co Center of Hazard Community
College. Rhonda is a member of the first
graduating class of the ATC and received the
Outstanding Student Award for Business and Office
training in 1973. Hallie J. Bowling,
current director of the Hazard Community College
Leslie County Center, describes Rhonda as a team
player and an excellent communicator. She says
Rhonda is very dedicated to the education of
young people of our county. Rhonda has
served on the Office Technology Program Advisory
Committee for many years and serves as president
of the Leslie County Chamber of Commerce. She
also serves as coordinator of the Hyden Citizens
Bank Leadership Program. She is on the
boards of the local United Way, the Daniel Boone
Corridor and is treasurer of the Leslie County
Clean Community Board. An avid supporter of
Leslie County High School, she has provided
leadership and supervision for the banking and
finance class for the last three years and worked
with a food booth operated by the local bank
during Project Sober each year. Betty Huff,
Leslie Co. ATC principal says, Rhonda is a
shining example of what can be achieved through
the many programs offered through the KY Tech
System of Schools.
