About FREEDOM

• Established in 1993, FREEDOM is a training cum
  self help promoting institution in Puri district.
• It aims to empower the rural communities and
  ensure that no one is deprived of his rights and
  opportunities.

Our Objectives

• To promote leadership among rural women and wok
  towards human rights activate and socio-economic
  growth. To provide social and human justice for
  community rehabilitation.
• To strengthen the pani -panchayats for self help
  control and management for irrigation on the
  members farming land.
• To provide micro enterprise credit for livelihood
  and security of food with ensured business
  program.
• To promote linkage of rural women's self help
  groups for socio-economic empowerment in Pipli
  and Gop block-80 villages.

  development programs.
• To reduce disaster with community contingency
  plan and management programs.
• To provide right information at need based
  programs for community action.

Our Achievements

• We started the community model open defecation
  free/ODF or Nirmal gram.
• Agrani gram puraskar of Rs.10000 and Rs.25000/
  was given to the 2 model villages - Kumareswar
  and Siriapur, by Govt of Orissa and Water aid
  India for the period between 2004-07.
• We were recognized as the best NGO by district
  officials.
• We were also adjudged the best ambassador, best
  PRI leader, and best AWW in Jasuapur GP works.
• We lead other NGOs under WSHPNET/Water sanitation
  hygiene promotion.

Our Achievements

• We developed more working models in other NGOs
  and villages in Orissa.
• We were recognized as master trainer on several
  issues.
• We got nodal agency role and responsibilities
  in block level for all developmental works with
  community development plan.
• We got award from NYK, Govt. of India, as best
  volunteer in Puri district.
• We also focused on folk cultural team i.e.
  chetabanee and Lok chetana Mandal, chaitany
  mandal activate for international issue related
  programs.
