THE CONTEST FOR MORE VACANCIES AT THE UNIVERSITY

• The movement started in 1967 when students asked
  for more vacancies, because their parents
  businesses broke. So they needed a university
  certificate.

THE CRITICISM OF MEC-USAID AGREEMENT

• In the second moment, Brazil and USA made an
  agreement ( mec-usaid).
• The students didnt like, because they thought
  USA wanted to bring an imperialist system.

THE EDSON LUIS DEATH AND THE DEMONSTRATION

• In a fight with students and police, Edson Luis
  (one of the students) died. This increased
  students dissatisfaction and the students
  movement.

THE HUNDRED THOUSAND DEMONSTRATION

• The hundred thousand demonstration was a movement
  against the military despotism.
• It was the highest point of the student movement.

• The government quickly destroyed the movement.
