    (Province of Parma)

2
Pre-school in Moldnal (Bosagårdens)
  • At the entrance of the classroom there are some
    banners reporting activities and programmes
    through pictures and brief descriptions.
  • The sun is the logo that the Bosagårdens
pree-school has selected to represent its
    specific educational project.
  • Sun rays represents schools aims. At the bottom
there is an abstract from the Curricula.

3
  • By using the sun logo, teachers illustrate also
some of the rules for a good social bahaviour,
which are suggested by the children who commit
themselves to follow them. Such rules are
    written on the sun rays.

4
  • Once a week teachers write a report for parents,
in order to provide then information and to make
them more involved in the schools routine.
  • Day by day they indicate scheduled activities,
    main goals, particular initiatives/engagements
(i.e. meetings with parents), as well as
    timetables and teachers work shifts.

5
  • The individual activities of the children as well
are posted on appropriate boards (one per child)
together with some of their comments.
  • Boards are clearly visibile to parents.

6
  • Children have an appropriate shelf on which they
can exhibit temporarily their pieces of work.
  • Teachers put in writing the childrens comments
    and explanations.

7
  • Monthly teachers write reports with pictures and
comments about the main activities that have been
    carried out.
  • In this way at the end of the year it is possible
to get an idea of the whole didactic path that
    has been followed.

8
  • For each child teachers write also a Portfolio
    which reports her/his individual development.
  • The Portfolio is placed on a shelf in the
classroom, so that children can flip through it
whenever they want and decide to add a particular
    activity.
  • The Portfolio represents also the documentation
of passage from a school class to the upper one,
and it is enriched of information during the
whole learning path of the child.

9
Norrkoping (Svanen)
  • At the entrance of each classroom there is a big
board on which the main activities and the goals
achieved month by month are reported. Teachers
have choosen the circular shape in order to make
easier the overall reading of the whole didactic
    path.

10
  • Also special activities are reported through
    pictures and childrens works.

11
  • The individual development of each child is
    reported monthly in the Portfolio.
