A joint IEWM/WMF event on Promoting equality
through Procurement 5th November

Square-Birmingham- B1 1BB This half-day event
for Procurement and Equality Officers, aims to
widen understanding of how to embed equality
considerations in all aspect of the procurement
and commissioning process. The session will
cover the proposed legal duties underpinning
equality and procurement and highlight how the
WMF Common Standard supports the monitoring of
equalities during the procurement process. The
input from the speakers will include tender
evaluation of equalities from PQQ stage to
contract monitoring. The topic will be linked
with the requirements of the Equality Framework
for Local Government with opportunities to
discuss the practicalities of this agenda with
leading practitioners in the field.   The
workshop will provide delegates with real-life
examples on how to mainstream and embed equality
considerations into procurement policy and
