• Clara was the youngest out of 5 brothers and
  sisters.
• Became a teacher at the age of 17 .

• There is a monument to Clara Barton in Maryland
  at the end of the battlefield .
•  Clara Barton became know as the Angel of the
  Battlefield and was in 16 different battles .
• Barton got shot in the arm helping a soldier in
  one war
