1
Solidarity Experiences Abroad

Small ways to make a difference

There are 4 main focuses of the SEA donation
campaigns
  • Oral health products
  • Medical supplies
  • Educational supplies
  • Financial support

4
Oral Health
  • Students conduct a dental hygiene campaign in the
    shantytowns where
  • Dental health among children is often very poor
  • Many children have multiple, visible dental
    caries
  • Dental products are often considered an
unnecessary extra expense for families already
under a great deal of financial stress
  • By teaching children how to brush their teeth
and providing them with the tools to do so,
entire families are encouraged to take up the
    practice
  • This improves the health of the entire family
and the community as a whole
  • After this campaign first started in Brazil
2005, the incidence of dental caries among the
children worked with decreased by 50 within 1
    year!

  • In South America, students conduct several dental
hygiene campaigns for the children of various

projects, community development projects and the
construction of buildings such as daycares,
schools, community centers and much more.

  • Your monetary donations can help us
  • Purchase building supplies (paint, brushes,
    bricks, cement, etc.)
  • Support the local economy by purchasing supplies
