well loved building is celebrating its tenth
anniversary. It is beginning to look a little
worn around the edges from hosting all the events
it has seen. We have an account set up for any
contributions toward the goal of 5,000 (present
total 428.00) to pay for this face-lift. Anyone
wishing to contribute should mark their gift with
account 2217 and place in the offering plate,
or deliver to the office. We look forward to
bright, fresh rooms in the Fellowship
Hall. UPCOMING WEDNESDAY NIGHT STUDY Simply
Enough is an intergenerational Bible study being
offered at Beulah this winter.  We invite all
youth and adults to join us on Wednesday nights
(Feb. 4, 11 and 18) following dinner. We will
begin with a short video segment featuring Tony
Campolo and Shane Claiborne that focuses on
simple, just living and follow with a time of
discussion on the topics of Lifestyle, Food,
Celebrations, Stuff, Money and Justice. Join Ben
Horrocks and Dianna Hastings as we facilitate an
intergenerational time of fellowship, discussion
and appreciation of one another. Questions may be
directed to Dianna or Ben in the church
office. SPROUTS This years SPROUTS group will
begin meeting on Sunday afternoons from 330-500
beginning on February 1st.  SPROUTS is a
children's ministry for 3rd - 5th graders who
want to help one another grow in their faith in
Jesus Christ.  We meet weekly for 2 months to
support one another and hold one another
accountable as Christian disciples.  We also
enjoy a large group time when we focus on a
justice issue.  This year we anticipate taking on
the justice issue of world hunger.  I would love
to have 100 participation from our 3rd - 5th
graders.  Please prayerfully consider this
opportunity and sign your child up below.  If you
have any questions, please call the church
office. Child's name ___________________________

Esther Its Tough Being A Woman by Beth
Moore We began with our introductory session on
Wednesday morning, January 7 and continue on
Wednesdays from 10 am to noon, at the home of
Beth Spitzley will end just before Memorial Day
on Wednesday, May 20 .
OFFICE VOLUNTEERS Due to cuts in staff hours,
our volunteers are even more valuable. There are
days during the month (mostly Wednesdays) when we
especially need to fill the 10am 1pm time.
Please talk to Pat Soyars (275-6785) about which
days are available and also about being an
on-call staffer. We really appreciate the help
of our current volunteers, and would like to
welcome more to our office family. ADVOCATE
ARTICLE There is a copy of the intergenerational
article written by P.T. Holmes and Dianna
Hastings on display on the bulletin board. We are
very proud to have been highlighted in the
December issue as a church with many volunteers
from several generations. If you would like a
copy to take home, please let the office know of
your interest. SARAH EASTWOOD PRESENTS Wesleyan-
Stratton Fellowship is honored to have Sarah
Eastwood tell her story of her mission trip to
Africa last summer. If you missed it when she
shared at our Wednesday night program, you are
welcome to join us at 1pm, Wednesday, January 21
in the Crusaders Classroom. This promises to be a
great opportunity for all of us. BEULAHS

his life. The United Methodist Men is the
spiritual enrichment, fellowship and missions
group of the men of the church. Its membership is
not determined by ageyoung adults, middle aged,
and seniors are all welcome and are encouraged to
attend. Our primary mission is to support Upward

ministries. We had a great year in 2008 and are
looking forward to an even better one in 2009.
