Accessing the Router
  • Different routers have different addresses on
    which you can access the router
  • Each manufacture have their own default username
    and password
  • Here are the addresses, usernames and passwords
    of most commonly used routers

Table 1 (Using Verizon router for this manual)

Accessing the Router
  • Step 1) Enter the address corresponding to your
    router. (If the web page does not load,
    re-check the address and make sure it matches
    with the table 1)
  • Step 2) Enter the username
  • Step 3) Enter the password
  • Step 4) Click OK to access the router

  • Step 1) Click on Wireless Setting

  • Step 2) Click on Basic Security Setting (follow
    Advance Setting for Advance Security Setting)

  • Step 3) Make sure Wireless is turned on
  • Step 4) Assign SSID (Service Set Identifier),
    this will be the name of your wireless network
  • Note We will be using AMK Network as network id

  • Step 5) Set the channel to Automatic
  • Step 6) Select WEP

  • Step 7) Select either 64/40 bit or 128/104bit
    from letter A-F or any number 0-9(64 10 digits
    and 128 26 digits)
  • Note We will be using 64/40 bit Hex with
    AFBEDC1928 as the password
