Last Weeks Plan of Action

• Run fitSingleXMonUsingRuns.pl and produce single
  fit (3 triggers with 8 runs)
• Compare CDF plots with my plot
• cmslpc (64-bit) fcdflnx
  (32-bit)

Last Weeks Summary

• XMon Fitter is a self contained package on CDF
• Some renaming is needed when put on a new machine
• Fixing patches will lead to upgrades
• Make CMS Fitter work just like CDF Fitter
• Mostly finished patchwork will lead to
  upgrades(Al Stones suggestions)

New Plan of Action

• Make XMon Fitter invariant of user/
  computer/architect/CMSSW release
• Make an XMF Package that can be downloaded,
  unpacked and executed
• Prepare XMF for CMS CVS
• Update website to act like CVS server

Problems?

• XMF package has must be 32/64-bit compatible
• Compiling errors
• Different SL call different Root libraries
• Bins
• the not so common script in the oh-so-common
  area
• XMF bin has not been set up, yet

Result of Last Week

• XMF now exists in a CVS quality package at
  http//home.fnal.gov/rruiz/
• Can be downloaded on any cmslpc or cmsuaf machine
• Theoretically should still work on fcdflnx6
• CDF has CDF XMF 6.1.4

Residual Problems?

• Bin scripts
• Running the same script in different places
• Cannot convert .eps to .gif when I execute
  ./fitAllXMonUsingRuns.pl
• makeGifs.tcsh is not being executed

Next Week

• Correct makeGifs.tcsh problem for Version 0.1.2
  release
• Version 0.1.2
• ps2GiforPng
• Fix Legend
• More generalizing (i.e N triggers)
• Add output parameter to scripts
• -r for ROOT, -eps for eps, -html for html

Conclusion

• Bin scripts and environments are mans best
  friends
• CMS XMF Version 0.1.1 is in CVS like package on
  webserver
• Includes detailed release note
• Cornell Grad Student will take over XMon in
  September/October
