• Pb-Ag (0.02 0.03) is an interesting
  alternative
• Pb-Ag is an alloy!! unlike Pb-Ca

• Some properties
• it is being used also in batteries with sulfuric
  acid
• it hardens after schock-cooling
• hardening process continues for weeks (like
  Pb-Ca)
• it has been reported that it softens again, if
  stored for long times
• (however, not quantitatively investigated)
• much less corrosive than pure lead

  need for cleaning cost-neutral)

• should start tests
• already brought 10 samples to Jp
• further hardening possible by adding 0.02 Al to
  Pb-Ag. Do we know what Al does to emulsions?
• also brought Pb-Cu as another possibility
