Mission Statement

• The development and preparation of a world class
  labor force that meets the needs of local
  businesses through more efficient and effective
  service delivery to customers through increasing
  the capacity of customers, workforce
  organizations, staff and communities.

• Adults (19 yrs old) and Dislocated Worker
• got jobs percentage employed after receiving
  services
• Job retention number of customers employed six
  months after receiving services
• Earnings gain customers must realize a
  significant earnings gain measured from
  pre-services income to post services income
• Number of customers attaining a credential
• Customer satisfaction after leaving the program

• Youth academic, work readiness, and occupational
  skills attainments, attainment of GED or High
  School diploma, employment, customer satisfaction
  after leaving the program.
• Businesses customer satisfaction with customers
  who received services and were hired and with
  services received from NWDC staff

Population Served

• Youth age 14 and older must meet low income
  guidelines.
• Adults priority given to customers with low
  income, low or no basic and or occupational
  skills, unable to obtain employment using
  universal services.
• Dislocated Workers those affected by a plant
  closure or significant industry downturn and are
  unlikely to return to their former occupation or
  industry.

Whats Offered To Job Seekers

• Self service labor market information, job
  matching, basic job search tools
• One-on-one advising and in-depth assistance with
  career planning, job search and job placement
• Training for Workforce Skill Standards including
  basic skills and occupational skills for up to
  two years, job search and job placement
• Upon obtaining employment, job retention services
  are provided.

• Qualified referrals for job openings
• On-the Job Training wage reimbursement for hiring
  and training an eligible applicant
• Assistance writing job descriptions and
  identifying relevant skills
