Where the giraffe lives

• A giraffe lives in the wild.
• It is dry where they live.
• They live in grassy places, tree places and
  mountain places.

Giraffe Babies

• A baby giraffe is called a calf.
• A giraffe is a mammal, so it drinks its mothers
  milk.
• When they are babies, their necks are so short,
  they cant drink water because their necks dont
  reach the ground.

What giraffes eat

• Their first food is their mothers milk.
• They eat grass, trees and fruit from the trees.
  
• Their tongue is VERY long and it grabs food, like
  we grab food with our hands.

Animals that eat giraffes (predators)

• Baby giraffes are eaten by lions, wild dogs and
  leopards.
• Lions and crocodiles are very sneaky. They sneak
  up on a giraffe when hes drinking water.
• Giraffes can see VERY far away to watch for
  predators.

What does a giraffe look like?

• Their body has special circle and square spot
  patterns.
• Every giraffe has a special pattern.
• Giraffes have 2 bony bumps on their head.

Interesting facts about giraffes

• I didnt know that animals could eat other
  animals, but giraffes dont eat other animals.
• They have the largest eyes of any animal.
• Their legs are taller than a person.
