Purpose

• To draft a civil society position paper to be
  used as an important lobbying document for new
  SABC legislation.
• To look at the best strategies for lobbying for a
  new SABC Act
• To chart a way forward for the SOS Coalition

Format

• Ten sessions dealing with all the major issues
  including the SABCs public mandate, legal
  structure and finances
• A chair for each session who will introduce the
  speakers and respondents, speakers and
  respondents then talk for 10 mins each, the
  discussion is opened up to the floor, at the end
  of the session the chair sums up the issues
  discussed and areas of agreement/ disagreement.
• We are expecting 10 to 15 people to be available
  for each session, not always the same people.
