- Virtual Administrative Support Services Tailored
to Match Your Needs, and Exceed Your Expectations
2What is a VA?
- VA stands for Virtual Assistant
- Provides a variety of administrative,
secretarial, and clerical services - May work independently, or with a company or
organization - Able to provide services similar to those
provided by an on-site assistant
3Benefits of Hiring a VA
- Virtual Assistants work from home, or alternative
office space, which they maintain at their own
expense. - Computer supplies and equipment, as well as
operating expenses, are fully covered by the
individual, NOT the employer. - Customers pay No Employee Benefits, such as
Holiday, Vacation, or Sick time, nor do they
carry the cost of Health, Dental, Life, or
Disability Insurance. - There are no Overhead expenses associated or
involved when employing a Virtual Assistant you
pay only for the project or task you have
requested.
4More
- Services provided can be as simple as
transcribing an audio recording into an
electronic document, or as complex as organizing
a company outing or event. The parameters of
each project are clearly outlined in a Project
Estimate Worksheet which is submitted to the
customer for review and approval before work
begins. - The customer has the ability to determine the
frequency of the services provided i.e. a one
time project, or a more hourly and consistent
work load based on multiple tasks.
Administrative Support Services tailored to
match your needs - Unlike a temporary agency and staff, or a large
consulting firm, my privately owned business will
cut through all the red-tape and accomplish the
tasks as efficiently and effectively as possible.
There is no middle or upper management to deal
with you deal directly with the person providing
the service.
5Top 7 Reasons to Hire a Virtual Assistant
According To
- They are all business.
- Your Virtual Assistant will support your needs,
not the other way around. - Since they bill their hours for the work they
accomplish (some in increments as small as five
minutes) you are not paying for personal phone
calls, late arrivals, childcare crises, or sick
time. - If you detest the forced socialization of a
corporate workplace, or listening to the humdrum
minutiae of a workers life story, a virtual
staff solves that problem.
6Top 7 Reasons to Hire a Virtual Assistant
According To
- Youre in control.
- Your working relationship is based upon a
contractual agreement whereby you state in no
uncertain terms what you expect. They either do
it or they dont. - If you want a web designer who uses Dreamweaver
instead of hand-coding HTML, then you specify
that. - Or, you can entirely defer to your Virtual
Assistants expertise and focus your energy
elsewhere.
7Top 7 Reasons to Hire a Virtual Assistant
According To
- Professional rapport.
- Your Virtual Assistant is in the entrepreneurial
boat, too. They work at home, market their
services, prospect for clients, and provide a
service just like you do. It can add to your
network base, as they may have found ways to
solve problems you never even thought of. Often
they have their own network of resources that
they utilize for printing, document processing
and promotion. - Tapping into their resources doubles your own.
8Top 7 Reasons to Hire a Virtual Assistant
According To
- Cost savings.
- You can hire a VA from anywhere on Earth. Its
as competitive an industry as any other, and you
can expect a wide range of fees for various
services offered. If you like the fees for web
design, but think a particular service is too
expensive for document editing or proofreading,
you can hire multiple VAs to do different tasks
to keep your own costs low. - You are under no obligation whatsoever, except,
of course, to pay your bill.
9Top 7 Reasons to Hire a Virtual Assistant
According To
- Pride in their work.
- If you are hiring a VA for tasks such as web
design, you can easily preview their work. Often
the VA service will place testimonials on their
site or examples of web pages they have designed.
Examine their portfolio pages to determine the
depth of their skills and experience.
10Top 7 Reasons to Hire a Virtual Assistant
According To
- Virtual freedom.
- No on-site employees means no liability, no
workers comp insurance, and no payroll taxes to
calculate. - Everyone is an independent contractor.
- You can utilize a virtual assistant for either
ongoing work or on a per-project basis.
11Top 7 Reasons to Hire a Virtual Assistant
According To
- No strangers in the house.
- If you have a home office, hiring employees to
work on-site could be intrusive. - If you have children at home, or a spouse who
works odd hours, or you just dont care to open
up your private space to others, a virtual
assistant is ideal. - Most likely, your VA will never darken your
doorstep.
12About Me
- My name is Kim. I am a wife, mother of two, and
have been in the corporate and working world
since the age of 15. I began college at 16 in an
early admittance program offered through my high
school in upstate New York. I completed my
Journalism Associate Degree in conjunction with
my high school diploma, both of which I received
with Honors. - After college I was anxious to begin my life, and
after a few years, settled down with my high
school sweetheart and together we began our
family, first our daughter, Ashley, and two
years later, our son, Brandon.
13About MeContinued
- Living in upstate New York in the late 1990s was
a difficult prospect, as the economy was very
slow, and employment was sketchy at best. With
our two young children in tow, my husband and I
moved our family to Ohio to build a new and
better life for ourselves, and for our children. - I quickly found employment in a global
engineering company who maintains an office in
the Cincinnati area. Unfortunately, after
investing seven years with this company,
corporate re-structuring eliminated the need for
my continued employment
14About MeContinued
- Faced with this new challenge, I forged out into
the world, strongly believing in my ability to
continue in my area of expertise, the world of
administrative support. I discovered that the
virtual world could offer me challenges and
opportunities that I had not yet experienced in
my life. -

- WPS is available to provide Document Solutions in
many ways. - Here are a few examples
- Whether you have an audio recording from a
meeting, or a letter which you need typed, we can
accommodate your needs. - We can start from scratch, or take an existing
document and modify it to create a professional
looking document for issue to your clients, or a
user-friendly template for your employees to use
in the future.
17Document SolutionsMicroSoft Word
- Perhaps you have a document which needs to have
multiple people review and comment on it, and you
need someone to keep control of the master
document, as well as coordinate all the comments
and revisions. This is often the case with
documents like legal contracts and engineering
documents.
- Maybe you have multiple copies of a document, and
need to identify all the differences, and then
have someone combine all those comments into one
document.
18Document SolutionsMicroSoft Word
- Perhaps you need general office documents
(templates) like fax cover sheets, transmittal
sheets, and order forms created or modified. In
many cases, companies use the documents and forms
they are used to for one simple reason, they are
familiar. That does not always mean they are the
most effective or efficient tools.
