Introduction

• Hello and welcome to the instructions on how to
  create your Dundee Graduate Skills Award.
• Through this we plan to introduce you to a
  cutting edge process for improving the
  performance and employability of our students.
• So here we go

Create you Portfolio

• Log into My Dundee and click
• on the My Files tab.
• Select Portfolios (from the left
• hand side menu).
• Select My Portfolios
• A list of your current portfolios
• should now be displayed. This
• area will be empty if
• accessing it for the first time.

1. Select Create Item
2. From the drop down list of templates
provided, select My PDP Transferable
Skills/ Skills Award.

Explanation of Terms

• The box that says My Evidence
• In here you need to put any and all information
  that you think show that you can perform the
  skill in the left hand column. When you write,
  please be as detailed as possible. It is also
  worth mentioning that you should provide solid
  evidence. You can do this by linking electronic
  files, pictures audio files etc through the tool
  bar at the top.
• The box that says Score
• How good do you think you are at each of this
  skills. You can rank yourself in a great many
  ways but be honest and remember that you get
  points for improving your score over time rather
  than having a high starting point.

Completion

• No you have completed the template contact the
  Careers Service at
• skillsaward_at_dundee.ac.uk
• This will let the careers service know that you
  have completed the first part and then you can
  expect some contact on what to do to improve your
  skills. We will also make you aware of assessment
  training days so you can claim your award.
