Mission and Functions of the BUN Environment
Family
Vision (dream, challenge) The BUN Environment
Family envisions a Balkan region in which
citizens use, share and manage their
environmental resources in a sustainable manner
a region in which all sectors of society,
particularly the poor, enjoy the benefits of
basic environmental systems and services, as
healthy ecosystems and clean waters. In this
region, the use and protection of water and
environmental resources is decided within the
framework of integrated resources management,
taking into account the principles of equitable
distribution and public participation.
