  • You have a choice of creating
  • either a caricature
  • or a cartoon character for you final.

Caricature-
  • Your assignment is to create a caricature of
    either someone famous or someone you know
    personally. You will need to show me a photo or
    picture when I grade the project to see how well
    you have captured the likeness. You can decide on
    the type of material and technique used to best
    fit the person to be drawn.

Suggestions
  • Exaggerate the obvious.
  • Look for strong characteristics
  • Reduce the head to a simple shape
  • Choose a style of drawing that best fits the
    character
  • (gesture for wild, contour for sleek, etc.)
  • Caricature can be of the head or the head and
    body.

  • Divide your 9X12 white drawing paper into four
    sections.
  • Number 1, Draw three cartoon faces showing three
    different expressions. Number 2, a text box with
