Direct flights between Bangladesh, China to
start

An agreement clearing the way for the first
Direct flights between China and Bangladesh was
signed as Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited
Dhaka on the second leg of his south Asian
tour. The new flights will link the Bangladeshi
capital Dhaka with the south Chinese city of
Kunming and the Chinese capital Beijing.
Wen began his South Asian tour in Pakistan
Tuesday.He will spend one day in Bangladesh and
another day in Sri Lanka before heading to India
on April 9 for four days.

Millions Bid Farewell at Pope John Paul II's
Funeral

• Pope John Paul II's body is carried
  across St. Peter's square at the Vatican, Monday,
  April 4, 2005 on its way for public viewing
  inside St. Peter's Basilica. With tens of
  thousands of mourners outside hoping for a
  glimpse of the body, 12 pallbearers flanked by
  Swiss Guards carried the late pontiff's body on a
  crimson platform from the Sala Clementina, where
  it had laid in state since Sunday.
