Configuration Files Troubleshooting

• Main Problem required include file is missing
• Messages at startup
• Could not open Alarm Configuration File No such
  file or directory
• To find out, what file is missing
• cd SLSBASE/sls/config/alh
• CheckAlhConfig.sh
• Error line generated for each missing file

Log Files

• Each ALH instance writes it own logfile
• dir /home/slsop/common/alh/YYYY.MM.DD_HHMISS
• lock (contains hostname and display where alh.sh
  was started)
• each day a two new files
• ALH-default.alhAlarm. YYYY-MM-DD (Alarms)
• ALH-default.alhOpmod.YYYY-MM-DD (configuration
  mods)
• Dont use ALH to view logfiles (-gt it may
  crash!) use ALHbrowser.tk

Log File Browser

• Each Alarm generates one line for each change in
  severity
• No acknowledgement line ? CA gateway bug
  prohibits global mode
• Select Time range, press Get Log and wait
• parses all files generated by ALH instances in
  the same control room!
