7Verifications
- Allow trainee to demonstrate internalization of
knowledge and skills gained from modules,
projects and work experience. - Panel of three librarians pose as patrons to ask
real questions. - Trainees are evaluated on ability to deal with a
variety of patrons, conduct a relevant reference
interview, and find appropriate information. - To develop strengths, trainees may be paired with
an experienced librarian for a coaching month.
8Selecting Ideal Candidates
- Completion of the EBL Staff Training program.
- About 20-25 modules
- Two verification sessions
- Projects, coaching months
- Positive assessment by trainers.
- Evaluation that indicates continued interest in
- librarianship and learning.
- Strength in appropriate personal characteristics.

established - Accepted into DLIS FastTrack MLIS degree program.
