Verifications
  • Allow trainee to demonstrate internalization of
    knowledge and skills gained from modules,
    projects and work experience.
  • Panel of three librarians pose as patrons to ask
    real questions.
  • Trainees are evaluated on ability to deal with a
    variety of patrons, conduct a relevant reference
    interview, and find appropriate information.
  • To develop strengths, trainees may be paired with
    an experienced librarian for a coaching month.

  • Completion of the EBL Staff Training program.
  • About 20-25 modules
  • Two verification sessions
  • Projects, coaching months
  • Positive assessment by trainers.
  • Evaluation that indicates continued interest in
  • librarianship and learning.
  • Strength in appropriate personal characteristics.
