  • 1055-1140 Language Arts (writing/word
    work/grammar)
  • 1140-1225 Specials (Art, P.E., Music,
    Computers)
  • 1230-100 Lunch
  • 100-130 Recess
  • 130-250 Reading/Social Studies
  • 250-300 Agenda/Homework/Pack-up Stack-up

Take Home Folder
  • HOMEWORK
  • Homework will be sent home Monday though Thursday
    and occasionally on Friday.
  • Homework should last approximately 30-45 minutes.
  • Monday Math
  • Tuesday Science
  • Wednesday Language
  • Thursday Spelling
  • Any unfinished work that needs to be completed.
  • Read at least 15 minutes every night.
  • Students are responsible for bringing Daily
    Folders and agenda to class each morning!
  • Daily correspondence with the teacher is possible
    through the agenda.
  • Students are responsible for writing all
    assignments down in their agenda.
  • Parents need to initial agenda EVERYDAY.

    Folder.
  • Please take out all paperwork before returning.

    electronic folder on Mooneyhams website. Sign-up
    and you will be e-mailed all PTA information.

  • Guided reading groups are small student focused
    groups working on story elements, phonics,
    fluency and comprehension.
  • The groups are flexible and may change throughout
    the year.
  • Please read with your child for 15-20 minutes
    every night.

  • Pretest on Monday

  • Study 7 hardest first night
  • Study 7 next hardest 2nd night
  • Study the 6 easiest the 3rd night
  • Review all words
  • Test on Friday

  • Write spelling words in cursive three times
  • Jumping Jack Spelling (physical spelling)
  • Shaving Cream Spelling
  • Sugar Spelling
  • Triangle Spelling
  • Write each spelling word in a complete sentence.
  • Write a story using all of your spelling words.
  • Magnet Spelling
  • Spelling Sort (sight words, chunk words)
  • Spelling Sort (number of syllables)
  • Vowel/Consonant Spelling (trace the vowels in
    red, consonants in blue)
