Gaining access to ECS?

• Attend ECS training session
• Fill out 2 Access Request Forms
• Access Request Form Requesters Demographic
  Information AND the Electronic Course Scheduling
  (ECS) attachment

What/Why/When?

• What ECS consists of customized PeopleSoft
  pages. Its a web based electronic submission
  system, which replaces the former web based ECS
  interface system.
• Why Will allow course information to be
  available immediately for students, without an
  upload process.
• When Go-live date is mid-September, beginning
  with Summer 2005 class schedule information.

ECS Time Periods

• Period 1 Open to all users
• Delete, dont cancel, unneeded sections
• Period 2 Reserved for OCM scheduling staff
• Schedule 25 runs to assign classrooms
• Closed to end users
• Period 3 Re-opens for all users for further
  changes
• Cancel, dont delete, unneeded sections
• Change to meeting times - throws out room
  assignments
• Period 4 Closed to departmental staff
• Registration/semester now open
• Departments cannot cancel section must go
  through college office
