• Boot your computer with janabhaaratii LiveCD by
  making CD-ROM as first boot device.
• Click on the Terminal Icon as shown below.

• Type Command su (Press Enter)
• Next step is to create the partitions on the
  hard disk, for that you must type command cfdisk

• We have to create 2 logical partitions. ie Linux
  and Linux swap partitions. Then format both the
  partitions. Linux partition will be used to
  install janabhaaratii.

• Type the following command
• mkfs.ext3 /dev/hdaX
• (Here X is the partition in which we will be
  installed janabhaaratii)
• mkswap /dev/hdaX
• (Here X is your swap partition)
• By doing so we format the created partitions and
  prepare them for Installation.
• Thus we have partitioned the HDD.

• After creation of partition is over, your system
  is ready for configuring the installation.
• Type Command knoppix-installer

• The installation begins with the appearance of
  the following screen
• Click on OK.

• Select the Configure Installation option and
  Click OK.

• Choose the partition to install Knoppix and
  follow the on-screen instructions.

• Select the mbr Master Boot Record as
  boot-loader
• Click on Next.

• Next step is to install the janabhaaratii.
• Select 2 option i.e. Start installation.

• Wait till knoppix installation gets over.

• Click on OK.
• Then installation is complete.
• Restart your computer, by typing command reboot
