Op PODIUM Tasks

• Support the RCMP in security for the Games with
  unique military capabilities
• Command and liaison element with RCMP
• Venue perimeter security, primarily in Whistler
  (outdoor venues)
• Conduct surveillance tasks
• Conduct joint patrols with the RCMP
• Quick Reaction Forces
• Secure own deployed camps
• Provide ceremonial support
• Chief of Defence Staff The games are about the
  games not about security.
